Volunteer Sewers Needed
General Member of the Board (Trustee)
Organization: The Original Costume Museum Society (OCMS) is working towards the creation of a permanent museum dedicated to the history of fashion, ethnic costume, and textiles. It currently offers educational programs and historical fashion shows for the general public and has a large collection of historical garments.
OCMS Mission: To create a museum that explores the history of fashion, ethnic costume, and textiles
Responsible to: The members of the OCMS through the President
Term: 2 years
Time commitment: 4 to 10 hours per month (depending on committee work)
Responsibilities:
- Prepares for and attends monthly board meetings
- Carries out the general responsibilities of a member of a not-for-profit board (society governance, policies, financial stability)
- Performs committee work
- Promotes the OCMS in the community
Skills:
- Ability to work in a team

The OCMS is still in need of sewers to sew garment bags to house the garments in our collection.
